 Kuwait Towers

When taking an aerial shot of this urban city, the first things you spot are three pointed needles to the sky Kuwait Water Towers, on Arabian Gulf Road.

These towers are considered to be the symbol of Kuwait. Designed by a Swedish company, the towers consist of two towers and a third pole feeding them with electricity.

The tallest tower is 187 meters high, holds two spheres. The upper sphere has a revolving observation area, with one full turn every half hour, as well as a Coffee Shop. The other sphere contains a restaurant.

The middle tower is a water reservoir containing 2 million galons of water in two tanks. The lighthouse which illuminates the architectural wonder with 96 concealed spotlights.

Another interesting piece of information is that the tops of these towers are finished in a needle shape and the concrete structure itself is made of flaring, plasticized aluminum plates, which shine day and night, adding to their magic.
