ENVIRONMENT
Since 2000, HDi technology has been combined with an emission control system with very high performance: the Particle Filter (FAP). This self-cleaning device processes the gases produced when Diesel fuel is burnt in the engine. It reduces emissions of particles from HDi Diesel engines to the measurable limit. This technology makes our Diesel engines some of the most environmentally responsible on the market.
129g of CO2/km
The Peugeot 407 SW is available with a 1.6L HDi engine with Particle Filter which gives a combined cycle consumption of 4.9 litres per100 km, for an emissions level of only 129g of CO2/km.
2.0L HDi 16v 140ch FAP Euro 5
The 2,0L HDi FAP engine with six-speed manual gearbox is optimised on the Peugeot 407 SW so as to comply with the Euro 5 standard applicable to new vehicles in 2009 and to all vehicles in 2010. At the same time, the power is increased from 100 to 103 kW, while fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced (149g of CO2 versus 159g / 5,7L per 100 kms versus 6,0L in combined cycle).
Bioflex
Depending on locality, a « Bioflex » 2,0L engine running on E85 bioethanol fuel is available on the Peugeot 407 SW.
FAP
All the HDi engines of the Peugeot 407 SW are provided with a particle filter as standard equipment for improved environmental protection.
